Wetsuits & Neoprene

Neoprene for dinghy sailors and anyone who spends the day wet: full suits, long johns, tops and shorts from Zhik, Rooster and Musto past-season stock. Thickness is the first decision — the figures (3/2, 5/4 and so on) give torso then limb thickness in millimetres; thicker means warmer but stiffer. Cut is the second: a long john leaves shoulders free for hiking and trapeze work and pairs with a spray top, while a full steamer suits cold water and long sessions. A wetsuit only works if it fits snug — water should not flush through when you capsize. Rinse in fresh water after every sail and dry inside out, away from direct sun.
